I received a Rambo survival knife for Christmas and I finally decided to make a box to hold it. I decided to use blood wood to make the box, because it kind of makes sense to. at $15 a board foot I was extremely cautious not to mess it up. the hardest part was to get the compound miters exact so that the sides angle out 10 degrees both ways. the inlays are maple. Bloodwood is a very dense hardwood and was quite hard to cut. I had to slowly cut using the miter saw and had to make multiple passes slowly raising the blade on the table saw.
